SECTION-A

7. Give a brief account of the cities in the Kachchh-Gujarat region during the seventeentheighteenth century.
8. Describe the emergence of canal colonies. What was its impact? How did it alter the urban spaces?
9. In what ways did the colonial Indian cities embody the visible signs and symbols of modernity?
10. Write short notes on any two of the following. Answer in about 250 words each.
